Federal Skilled Worker

Federal Skilled Workers are persons with suitable education, work experience, age and language abilities under one of Canada's official languages and who are selected under the Express Entry Immigration system to apply for permanent residence.

Minimum requirements

An applicant must meet the minimum criteria, as follows:

You must meet all the minimum requirements to be eligible for FSW. IRCC will then assess your application based on selection factors:
  • Age

  • Education

  • Work experience

  • English and/or French language skills

  • Whether you have a valid job offer

  • Adaptability (how well you’re likely to settle here)
     

These factors are part of a 100-point grid used to assess eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Program. You earn points for how well you do in each of the 6 factors.

The current pass mark is 67 points.
